Last night server crashed badly. I could not reach it at all. Hoster had to hard-reboot it and after that I’ve been working on it. Plan is to re-open dupenet.com soon(ish).
Update: site is now open.

I’ve received certain questions over msg-system and email several times:
- Will Dupenet affiliate with some other site (torrents etc.) against some stuff or for free. Answer: no.
- Can you improve the JavaScript performance (NFO-viewer mostly): Answer: no. Get faster PC or use some other service
- Will you add search by date function. Answer: Perhaps later
- Will you add RSS feeds. Answer: No

Here’s a wish list of features based on your comments and emails:
- Feed filters for various categories *
- Language filter for feeds
- Feed filter for genre
- More search filters (categories, genre)
- More search results + paged search results
- Statistics: group and database
Site feed already has category filter example. Usage: http://pre.scenedb.org/feed.php?RELSECT=MP3. This doesn’t work with feedburner yet. I’ll try to do more with feedburner because that would allow ping: automatic feed update so that you don’t have to pull feeds constantly.

I’m a site admin of the Scenedb.org pre-site which has been recently updated with new features. Search function is backed up by a fast free text search engine called Sphinx.
I wanted to create a feedback channel for site users – currently apprx. 3000 every day. I didn’t want to establish any discussion forum or FB group, so I decided to setup this blog.
