One observant user sent me feedback about the “remember me” or auto-login cookie expiration. He noticed that they expire relatively fast: ~24 hrs or so. I have fixed this and now the auto-login cookie should be valid for five days.
If you want to use longer auto-login, you must logout, refresh the browser properly and login.

Please allow non-expiring cookies. Fixed-time cookies are annoying!
@joe: there is no such thing as non expiring cookies… I could ofc set expiration to year 2038, but not yet. I must find a solution to cookie auto-login that works even when IP changes, but is enough secure.
On all the sites I run I typically set the expiration to 1 year, which is more than enough time. Setting it to 2038 might cause current browsers to ignore the cookie (maybe not, but future browser updates might, who knows).
Glad you fixed the issue though, I sent you an email regarding the issue a week ago and I just visited the site for the first time in a few days and boom, she auto logged me in

thx, it is now added. There has been quite many IRC netsplits recently. Luckily i can get the missing releases if I just know their names or release time

@PRE-FAN: since July the nr of active users has increased by 600. Good news is that majority of active users are loyal site visitors. Bad news is the low number of users.
